Jason’s Bio

Jason A. Anderson – Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist

Born in California, but raised on the rhythms of Spain, Jason A. Anderson found his musical calling early—captivated by the raw emotion and storytelling of flamenco. That spark set him on a lifelong journey to explore music as a language of the soul.

After studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Jason immersed himself in the world of improvisation and groove, eventually returning to Baltimore’s vibrant scene to perform with bands like Mofofunka and Soul Island Rebels, as well as carving out his own voice as a solo artist.

Drawing from a deep well of influences—roots, blues, folk, rock, funk, and reggae—Jason’s music defies easy classification. His songs are heartfelt stories of love and loss, joy and struggle, connection and redemption. Every performance is an invitation to take a journey—a soulful conversation between artist and audience.

For Jason, music isn’t just sound—it’s a spiritual experience, a way to make sense of the human condition and celebrate its beauty. His live shows are passionate, honest, and full of groove—equal parts reflection and release.

If Chris Stapleton, Jack Johnson, and Anders Osborne started a jam and couldn’t decide whether to play country, folk, or funk, you’d be somewhere close to Jason’s sound—authentic, soulful, and straight from the heart.

Come see him live or dive into his original songs—you’ll hear a lifetime of stories, and maybe find a piece of your own within them.
